Puppet Busking

Join HandMade Theatre for a spot of ‘Puppet Busking’. Meet our beautiful handcrafted puppets and enjoy wonderful live music. This is a chance to get up close to our delightful puppets and see them playfully interact. Packed full of original songs our puppet shows are a real treat for the whole family.

Our puppet shows are perfect for small scale community festivals, alternative spaces and walkabout style events.

'Puppet Busking' is our original mini show developed out of our nature inspired touring production WilderNests. The piece now features a wide range of animal creatures, including a very cheeky Squirrel, a bouncing Hare and a musical Tortoise.

'Puppet Birding'  takes inspiration from our show Flying The Nest, inspired by British birds and the world of birding.  This mini show is a great way to meet lots of birds including a Robin, Kestrel, Magpie, goose and Oyster Catcher. Featuring lots of eggciting interactive songs and fun facts.

'The Puppet Petting Farm' a brand new show for 2024 commissioned by Applause. This show offers the opportunity to meet a range of loveable farm animals including a cheeky hen, hungry Goat, large highland cow and a cute baby piglet.

HANDMADE THEATRE WAS ESTABLISHED IN 2011 AND SINCE THEN WE HAVE DEVELOPED A NUMBER OF KEY PRODUCTIONS DEVELOPING OUR UNIQUE INTERACTIVE STYLE AND BRAND.

It all began with The Flying Machine which was a creative project originally developed in collaboration with Rosehill Special School. This went on to become a popular family show touring to festivals and events nationally and set us on track as a successful touring company.

We are proud of all the unique productions we have created exploring a wide range of themes from history to transport, adventure to nature. Sadly as ideas and performers move on, not all our wonderful shows can remain in our current touring vocabulary and must be archived. That is the very nature of producing live events. But a little glimpse at our past work can be found here.
