Weekly Dementia

Each week, HandMade Theatre runs a range of sessions for those with dementia and cognitive impairments in care homes and community settings. These include bespoke shows at memory cafes, weekly movement sessions, sing-alongs and craft.  This work is led by CEO Suzy Gunn and supported by the National Lottery Community Fund.



Current regular sessions include:

Seated movement sessions with Karla at Moreland Court, Stockinger House and Walton Court

Sing-alongs with Steno at Cherry Trees and Happy Days

Sing-alongs with Becky at Calverton Day Centre and Kingfisher Care Home.

Singing and Craft with Suzy and Ben at Moreland Court and St Andrews House.

Music and Dance with Miriam and David at Hey Days.

Regular music and craft sessions at Cornwater Evergreens, Braywood Gardens Care Home in Mapperley and Arnold Rotary Club Memory Cafe.
